Rohde Veit

Professor Veit Rohde began his neurosurgical residency in 1989. He was trained at the Municipal Hospital Duisburg and the Universities of Tübingen and Aachen, Germany. He obtained his venia legendi in 1999. In 2005 he declined the appointment of a Professor and head of department at the University Halle and became Professor and Director of the neurosurgical department at the University Göttingen. He declined further appointments of a Professor and head of department at the universities of Aachen and Bonn in 2009 and 2011. Prof. Rohde is a member of a number of professional organizations: EANS, the German Society of Neurosurgery (DGNC), for which he actually serves as vice president, the German Spine Society (DWG), and the German Academy of Neurosurgery (GANS). In 2014/2015, he was the president of the academy. He covers the whole spectrum of neurosurgical operations with major interest in vascular neurosurgery and skull base surgery.
