Aswin Chari

Aswin is a neurosurgical trainee in London, currently pursuing a PhD at Great Ormond Street Hospital and University College London. His PhD thesis aims to improve our understanding of paediatric focal epilepsy through network analysis using MRI, SEEG and microelectrode data, under the supervision of Prof Rod Scott and Mr Martin Tisdall. As part of this, he was awarded the Stryker-EANS research grant in 2020!

The work for this systematic review was undertaken as part of the British Neurosurgical Trainee Research Collaborative, a trainee collaborative research network in the UK, with the aim of following it up with a larger multi centre prospective cohort study. This would allow us to answer more specific questions about risk stratification and whether certain patients could be managed remotely in referring hospitals.
